Built on the 1911 platform, this Classic Stainless is a full-size, single-action pistol with an 8+1 capacity in .40 S&W. It uses a Government-length 5-inch, bushing-fitted barrel and an internal extractor, pairing traditional 1911 architecture with proven Kimber Classic-series features.
The slide and frame are stainless steel with a matte/brushed finish. The slide is marked 'CLASSIC STAINLESS,' the frame bears the Yonkers, NY marking, and the barrel hood is marked '.40 S&W'. The ejection port is lowered and flared for reliable ejection, and the slide has front and rear cocking serrations.
Controls and fire-control parts include a skeletonized commander-style hammer and a skeletonized, three-hole aluminum trigger. Safety features consist of a thumb safety and an extended beavertail grip safety with a memory pad, along with a standard magazine release.
Sights are fixed, low-profile dovetailed units: a dovetailed front blade and a low-profile rear notch. This simple, durable sighting setup is well-suited to the 5-inch Government configuration.
Custom additions on this example include an installed mainspring-housing magazine-well funnel and wraparound finger-groove grips. It is supported by seven Wilson Combat single-stack 8-round magazines and comes complete with the factory-labeled hard case, owner's manual, and a 1911 barrel bushing wrench.
