The 28 inch plain (non-vent-rib) FN Special Steel barrel is chambered 2 3/4 inch and marked with the Modified choke code (**). A single front bead and the classic humpback receiver with a serrated sighting plane provide a straightforward sight picture.
This long-recoil autoloader includes adjustable friction rings and a left-side magazine cut-off. Capacity is 4+1. It retains its blued steel receiver and barrel, with walnut furniture that includes a round-knob pistol grip and cut checkering, plus a matching walnut forend.
An aftermarket ventilated recoil pad is installed, yielding a 15.0 inch length of pull. Belgian FN proofs include the crowned ELG oval, Perron, lion over PV, and star-over-letter inspector’s marks, along with a 1Kg 047 weight stamp.
