The 18 inch barrel uses Daniel Defense's cold-hammer-forged process and a Strength-to-Weight (S2W) profile in 4150 CMV steel, paired with a 1:7 twist for 5.56mm NATO. A rifle-length gas system with a low-profile gas block sits under the handguard for smooth cycling. The muzzle is threaded and fitted with the Daniel Defense Muzzle Climb Mitigator brake/compensator.
The Daniel Defense MFR 15.0 free-float M-LOK handguard provides ample mounting space and includes a continuous T-marked top rail. Fixed iron sights are installed: a front sight on the handguard rail and a fixed rear aperture on the receiver rail.
The upper and lower receivers are aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish. Operation is semi-automatic, direct impingement, on the AR-15 platform. The rifle is made in the USA.
Furniture includes a polymer 6-position collapsible stock with a rubberized buttpad and textured panels, plus a textured polymer pistol grip with a geometric tread pattern. A polymer 30-round Magpul EMAG magazine with a witness window is included, bringing total capacity to 30+1.
