The TMP follows the UMP pattern and is chambered in .45 ACP, confirmed by the on-gun ".45 AUT" marking. It uses straight UMP45-pattern polymer magazines and offers a 25+1 capacity, making it a practical .45 ACP pistol in a proven blowback configuration.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including an HK-style paddle magazine release and a safety selector with pictogram markings. The polymer receiver and handguard use HK-style push-pin architecture for straightforward field access.
For mounting accessories, the pistol includes a full-length 1913 Picatinny top rail and additional Picatinny segments at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions on the polymer fore-end. A molded protected front sight hood is present, and there is no rear sight installed.
The 8-inch steel barrel is paired with a slotted muzzle device. Materials are chosen for durability and weight balance, with a steel barrel and polymer receiver/handguard. This U.S.-made pistol blends UMP-style ergonomics with modern accessory compatibility.
