The Nova Tactical's one-piece, steel-reinforced polymer receiver/stock provides a rigid, durable foundation with a black finish and practical touches such as a ribbed wrist, recoil pad, and an integrated rear sling stud. The ribbed polymer fore-end offers a secure grasp and houses the Nova's magazine cut-off/shell-stop button.
The 18.5 inch barrel and open rifle sights—ramped front post and fixed rear notch—deliver a straightforward sight picture. A cross-bolt safety offers familiar operation. Length of pull is set at 14.0 inches.
This shotgun is chambered for 2 3/4, 3, and 3 1/2 inch 12-gauge shells. It uses a standard-length magazine tube without an extension, providing a nominal 4+1 capacity with 2 3/4 inch shells.
Two on-gun ammunition carriers are installed: a Tac-Star 6-round receiver-mounted sidesaddle and a forend-mounted 4-round shell holder. These provide ready access to spare shells on the firearm.
