This 1976 Star BM is a compact, single-action 9mm made in Eibar, Spain by B. Echeverria S.A., and imported by Century Arms International (Georgia, VT). Made in Spain by B. Echeverria S.A. in 1976, this BM shows clear factory and import markings: "MADE IN SPAIN," "B. ECHEVERRIA S.A. Eibar (Spain)," and "CAL.
9m/mP." Century Arms International import marks are present on the right side of the slide, and a two-digit "76" date stamp on the right trigger guard confirms the year of manufacture.
It uses a compact, single-action format with 1911-inspired controls, but without a grip safety. The gun includes a left-side magazine release, a thumb safety, and a spur hammer. It runs a single-stack magazine system and is rated at 8+1 capacity.
The slide is the bushingless integral-nose type with rear-only vertical serrations. Sighting is straightforward with a fixed front blade and a fixed rear notch. The frame and receiver are carbon steel with a blued/black-oxide finish to match the slide.
