The Ranch Rifle configuration provides integral scope bases on the receiver and a low folding rear sight paired with an integral wing-protected front ramp. This setup allows the included Swift 3-9x40 scope to mount securely while retaining functional iron sights.
The stainless 18.5" barrel has an unthreaded muzzle with a plain crown and carries the earlier slim profile associated with pre-580 series Mini-14 rifles. The matte stainless receiver and barrel complement the durable black synthetic stock with a straight comb, molded checkering, and a sling swivel stud.
Operation is semi-automatic with a gas system and rotating bolt, and the rifle uses Ruger’s proprietary detachable Mini-14 magazines. Capacity is 5+1 as configured. The safety is the Garand-style lever inside the trigger guard.
