Built at Springfield Armory in 1944, this M1 Garand features a period-correct SA 7-44 barrel date that aligns with mid-war production. A "P" proof stamp is present on the grip, and the rifle wears the classic USGI parkerized gray/green finish.
The rifle retains its WWII lock-bar rear aperture sight paired with a winged front sight for a proper wartime sighting setup. Stacking and sling swivels are present, with a full-length oil-finished walnut stock and matching walnut upper and front handguards.
It uses the standard gas system with a long-stroke piston and rotating bolt, along with a forged steel receiver. The gas cylinder includes the integrated bayonet lug, as expected on USGI configuration.
Chambered in .30-06, it has a 24-inch barrel and an internal 8-round magazine fed by en-bloc clips. Two 8-round clips are included to get you started with the correct loading system.
