The 22 in sporter-contour barrel is made from chromoly steel and is button-rifled, thermally stress-relieved, and free-floated. A recessed crown and matte Perma-Cote finish support durability and consistency in the field.
The action uses a three-lug, 60-degree bolt for ample scope clearance and fast cycling. The bolt body is nickel-Teflon coated for smooth operation, and a cocking indicator provides clear status at a glance.
Winchester’s M.O.A. Trigger System is user-adjustable and is set at 3.5 lb on this rifle. The two-position safety works in tandem with a bolt unlock button, allowing the bolt to be operated with the safety engaged.
The Grade I walnut stock features cut checkering, a straight comb, sling swivel studs, and an Inflex Technology recoil pad. A detachable polymer single-stack magazine provides a 3+1 capacity in 7mm-08 Rem. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases with 8-40 screws, and there are no iron sights.
