The Target configuration pairs a 5.5-inch steel bull barrel with a recessed crown and a non-threaded muzzle for a clean, purpose-built profile. The barrel, receiver, and grip frame are all steel with a blued finish, delivering a solid, full-size feel. Approximate overall length is 9.75 inches with an unloaded weight of about 42 oz.
The sighting system is set up for precision with a black Patridge-style front blade secured by a screw and a fully adjustable square-notch rear sight. The receiver is factory drilled and tapped for optics bases, and filler screws are installed.
Controls and safety features reflect the Mark III generation: a push-button magazine release, a frame-mounted manual safety, a pivoting loaded-chamber indicator, a magazine disconnect, and an internal key lock. The pistol operates via a simple blowback, single-action system with a single-action trigger.
Checkered black synthetic grips with Ruger red-phoenix medallions provide a secure hold. Capacity is 10+1 in .22 LR, and this example includes two 10-round magazines. Catalog code MKIII512 and Ruger model 10101 match the Target configuration, and the steel grip frame confirms it is not the 22/45 variant.
