Chambered in 9mm Luger, this full-size GI Standard model follows the classic 1911 layout with single-action operation and a 5" barrel. The steel frame and slide wear a matte black Parkerized finish for a traditional service look.
Controls include a checkered magazine release, a left-side thumb safety, and a grip safety with a beavertail. The trigger is a solid, medium-length, silver-tone unit paired with a skeletonized Commander-style rowel hammer. The mainspring housing is flat and vertically serrated, while the front strap is smooth. Double-diamond checkered wood panels complete the grip.
The slide is cut with rear-only vertical serrations and a lowered ejection port. Sighting is straightforward with fixed GI-style sights: a small ramped front and a square-notch rear. A standard short guide rod with a closed recoil spring plug maintains the traditional setup.
Factory markings include the Rock Island Armory crest on the slide and "M1911 A1 - FS" on the frame. Proof/import stamps read "APINTL—PAHRUMP NV" and "ACP PHILIPPINES." Capacity is 9+1 with the included single-stack 9mm magazine.
