The Circuit Judge uses a 5-shot cylinder and an 18.5-inch steel barrel, with the barrel clearly marked ".45 LC/.410 GA." It combines .45 Colt and .410 compatibility in a carbine-length, DA/SA revolver format with an external hammer.
Construction is all-steel for the frame, receiver, and cylinder, with a blued/black finish and a bright-finished cylinder. The stock and fore-end are wood with a satin finish, Monte Carlo comb, and a pistol-grip profile. Sling-swivel studs and a ventilated rubber recoil pad are installed.
Sighting is fast and clear thanks to a fiber-optic red front blade and an adjustable fiber-optic green rear. An integrated Picatinny-style top-strap rail also functions as a cylinder-gap blast shield.
The threaded barrel accepts the included removable .410 choke tube. Additional functional details include an under-barrel ejector rod with a knurled tip. Markings include BRAZTECH, L.C., MIAMI, FL., MADE IN BRAZIL BY TAURUS, and the Taurus bull logo. The crane/yoke area is stamped "3986 C.J.," and the serial number is duplicated on the frame and barrel.
