The gas-operated, direct-impingement action is paired with a 19-inch barrel and a 22 mm multi-port muzzle device that doubles as a grenade launcher spigot. A folding grenade/auxiliary sight and a gas shut-off are integrated, reflecting the rifle's original multi-role military configuration.
Iron sights include a protected front post and a receiver-mounted adjustable aperture rear sight with an elevation scale to 12. The receiver features a left-side integral APX-type scope rail. A stripper-clip guide notch on the bolt carrier is present.
Construction is robust, with a milled steel receiver in a parkerized finish and hardwood furniture, including a full-length upper handguard and a straight-comb stock with a metal buttplate.
