This 1922 Colt Model 1908 "Vest Pocket" is a compact .25 ACP pistol designed by John M. Browning and built with machined carbon-steel construction. It features the classic black checkered hard rubber grips with the Colt cartouche and Rampant Colt, fixed integral sights with a shallow top groove, and correct slide markings including "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE 25" and patent dates through July 31, 1917. It comes with two 6-round magazines, plus a leather pocket holster and a leather cartridge belt.

The Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket (internal designation Model N) is a micro-size, striker-fired, single-action, blowback pistol chambered in .25 ACP. This example has a 2 inch barrel, an overall length of approximately 4.5 inches, and an unloaded weight of about 13 ounces. Standard capacity is 6+1.
Controls and safety features include a manual thumb safety and a grip safety. The slide carries rear vertical serrations, while sighting is via a shallow groove along the top with a small front blade and a fixed rear notch.
Markings are correct for the model, with "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE 25" on the right side of the slide and patent dates on the left side including July 31, 1917. The pistol retains the Colt "VP" triangle proof on the trigger guard.
Designed by John M. Browning as Colt’s U.S. counterpart to the FN 1906, the Model 1908 showcases machined carbon-steel construction and black checkered hard rubber grips featuring the Colt cartouche and Rampant Colt.
