This New Haven-built Winchester Model 70 in .25 WSSM pairs the Super Short Action receiver with a 22-inch sporter barrel and a classic walnut stock. The rifle wears a 22-inch steel sporter-contour barrel with a crowned muzzle and no iron sights. Both barrel and receiver have a blued finish. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics, and two-piece cross-slot scope bases are already fitted.
The walnut stock features a pistol grip, cut checkering with a fleur-de-lis/scroll pattern, a straight fore-end, sling swivel studs, and a recoil pad. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches, offering a traditional hunting rifle fit.
The bolt body is engine-turned/jeweled with two locking lugs and a round checkered bolt knob, and the rifle retains the Model 70’s three-position safety.
