The 25-inch barrel is roll-marked "Remington Arms Co., Inc., Ilion, N.Y. Made in U.S.A." along with patent numbers 1,908,035, 1,913,840, and 2,356,257, and carries "SCOREMASTER" and "MODEL 511" markings. The barrel is additionally marked ".22 Short, .22 Long, or .22 Long Rifle."
Feeding is via a detachable steel box magazine with a 5-round capacity, supporting a 5+1 total. The rifle uses a stamped strap-style trigger guard, consistent with the Scoremaster pattern.
The stock is a one-piece hardwood with a straight, uncheckered grip. The receiver is blued steel, and the rifle retains a black checkered hard-rubber buttplate with the "Remington" roundel.
