The MCX SPEAR LT uses a short-stroke gas piston system with a user-adjustable gas regulator, tailored to the .300 BLK chambering. This setup offers clean-running operation, and the 8.5 inch barrel is factory threaded and fitted with a three-prong flash hider.
Its internal recoil system eliminates the need for a buffer tube and pairs with a 1913 rear interface, allowing true side-folding attachments. The included SB Tactical arm brace mounts on dual rods and folds to the side.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector and magazine release, plus a right-side bolt catch/release. A forward assist and ejection-port dust cover are also integrated.
The free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard features a full-length top Picatinny rail, and the receiver is aluminum with a coyote tan finish. The MCX quick-change barrel architecture with visible retention screws is present, and flip-up iron sights are installed. Capacity is 30+1.
