Original Triple‑S Ohio production defines this Wickliffe 76, with maker and model rollmarks on the barrel that read "SSS DEV. CO., INC., WICKLIFFE OHIO," "WICKLIFFE 76," and "PAT. NO. 4,040,196." The lever-actuated falling-block action with an exposed, checkered hammer spur delivers the classic Wickliffe operating system, paired with a tang-mounted sliding safety.
The 26 in round barrel is factory drilled and tapped. There are no open sights, and the rifle is currently set up with a two-piece base and ring set holding a Redfield 3‑9x variable scope for immediate use.
Stock work is a highlight: high-gloss walnut with a right‑hand rollover Monte Carlo comb, cheekpiece, and a beavertail forend capped by a metal tip and white-line spacer. The butt sports a BISHOP-marked hard-rubber plate with a white-line spacer, and the right rear of the stock includes an inletted circular medallion. Length of pull measures 13.5 in.
The metal is finished in high-polish blue, with the receiver showing a deep plum tone often associated with this model and period. Controls are straightforward and period-correct, including the tang safety and the exposed hammer spur at the tang. Capacity is single-shot (1 round).
