The Axis II XP package includes a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 scope mounted on two-piece bases with rings, so it is set up for immediate use. No iron sights are present.
The 18 in barrel features a recessed crown. Savage’s barrel-nut headspacing system and floating bolt head work together for consistent alignment, while the two-lug bolt with a 90-degree lift provides smooth operation.
The AccuTrigger is user-adjustable, approximately 2.5–6 lb, and includes a trigger safety blade. This setup helps deliver a clean break tailored to the shooter.
The black synthetic stock has a textured fore-end and pistol grip for secure handling, plus a vented recoil pad and a 13.5 in length of pull. A front sling swivel stud is installed. The rifle carries a matte black finish and weighs about 7.1 lb.
