It features the commercial 16.5 inch paratrooper-length barrel and has been sporterized with a synthetic Dragunov-style thumbhole stock and a detachable SKS-pattern magazine setup. Marked with the Chinese Type 56 designation and the /26\ arsenal triangle, it retains its standard SKS receiver configuration and spike-bayonet lug, and is configured for a 20+1 capacity.

Manufactured in 1964 at Jianshe Arsenal and marked with the triangle /26\ and Chinese "五六式" Type 56 designation, this rifle carries clear import marks from KSI Pomona, CA. It has a smooth SKS receiver cover and a milled steel receiver with a blued finish.
The paratrooper configuration uses a 16.5 inch barrel and retains the standard SKS receiver (not an AK-magwell conversion) while being set up for detachable SKS-pattern duckbill magazines. The paddle-style, standard magazine release is intact, and capacity as configured is 20+1 with the included 20-round magazine.
It is sporterized with an aftermarket synthetic Dragunov-style thumbhole stock featuring a skeletonized butt and an integral rear sling slot. A ventilated synthetic upper handguard is installed, and the length of pull measures 14.75 inches.
The bayonet and cleaning rod are not present.
The action is the SKS-standard gas-operated, short-stroke piston, tilting-bolt semi-automatic system chambered in 7.62x39. Partial matching digits "0258" are observed on the bolt and bolt carrier.
