Factory marks are present, including the Izhmash triangle-with-arrow and the circled Cyrillic acceptance/proof "РС". Matching serial numbers are present on the bolt carrier, rear receiver/tang, and inside the receiver cut.
The rifle uses a semi-automatic, gas-operated, short-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt. It has a milled steel receiver finished in a protective phosphate/painted coating and SVD-style exterior lightening cuts. A bolt hold-open is integrated in the trigger pack, and controls include an AK-type safety lever.
