Built on a stainless-steel frame and slide, the Classic combines brushed flats with a matte, glare-reducing top. The slide carries angled rear serrations and an external extractor. Controls include a left-side manual thumb safety and a grip safety, paired with a skeletonized three-hole trigger and a spurred hammer.
Sighting is handled by fixed Trijicon three-dot tritium units, dovetailed front and rear, and marked “Trijicon H3 14.” This setup provides a clear, durable sight picture. The smooth walnut grip panels feature Coonan logo medallions, complementing the stainless finish.
The pistol uses a linkless-cam locked-breech system and a proprietary single-stack magazine engineered for .357 Magnum. Magazines include a follower-pin loading aid, and capacity is 6+1. The barrel hood is marked “.357 MAG.” while the slide reads “Coonan .357 MAGNUM AUTOMATIC,” and the frame is marked “Coonan, Inc. Blaine, MN.”
