Built on the Government-size 1911 platform, this Series 80 Gold Cup combines a 5-inch National Match barrel with a flat-topped slide and a lowered ejection port. The barrel hood is correctly marked "COLT 45 AUTO NM," confirming the National Match specification.
The sighting system is the Gold Cup standard: an Elliason adjustable rear sight paired with a Patridge-style front blade. The wide, three-hole aluminum target trigger includes an adjustable overtravel stop for a clean, consistent break.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, with polished flats and matte rounds for a purposeful appearance. It retains a serrated spur hammer, a flat mainspring housing with vertical serrations, a short GI-style guide rod, and a recoil spring plug with a checkered face.
