What’s Included
- Winchester Model 9422 .22 LR lever-action rifle
Built in Winchester’s New Haven facility between 1995 and 2005, this Model 9422 reflects the line’s hallmark steel-and-walnut construction. The barrel is marked "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL," and both the receiver and barrel wear a uniform blued finish for a traditional appearance.
The rifle uses a 22 inch round blued steel barrel secured by two barrel bands and feeds from a full-length tubular magazine. Capacity is 15+1 in .22 LR. A right-side ejection port and the typical 9422 practice of applying the serial to both receiver halves are part of its standard construction details.
Furniture is factory checkered walnut on both the buttstock and fore-end, paired with a pistol-grip wrist for a secure hold. The Winchester-logo buttplate and a 13.75 inch length of pull round out a classic, well-balanced rimfire configuration.
Sighting is straightforward and effective: a ramped front sight teams with a semi-buckhorn rear that is drift adjustable and uses a stepped elevator for height changes. This open-sight setup suits a wide range of rimfire shooting tasks.
