The Model 37 Featherlight design delivers bottom ejection and bottom loading, keeping the receiver flanks solid and smooth. This configuration is valued for its clean-sided receiver and straightforward handling. The takedown system uses a knurled magazine collar for easy barrel removal and transport.
The 30-inch steel barrel is Roto-Forged and fitted with a ventilated rib for a steady sighting plane. An orange front bead provides a clear aiming point. The fixed full choke is set up for tight patterns, and the chamber is cut for 2 3/4 inch shells.
Classic walnut furniture rounds out the build. The pistol-grip stock and forend are both checkered, with an Ithaca medallion on the grip cap. A ventilated rubber recoil pad with black/white spacers and a 14-inch length of pull give it a traditional fit and feel.
Factory engraving on the steel receiver depicts upland birds and a dog. Rollmarks include "PROOF TESTED" and "MADE IN U.S.A.," with the Ithaca, N.Y. address. The serial range indicates 1975 production, aligning with its 1970s Featherlight features and finish details.
