The USC follows the proven UMP lineage in a civilian configuration, chambered in .45 ACP and built in Germany. This example bears the DE country code, CIP N nitro proof, Ulm stag-antler proof, and the CD date code indicating 2023 proofing, along with the Heckler & Koch Inc., Columbus, GA import mark.
Construction centers on a black polymer receiver and stock system to keep weight down to approximately 5.9 lb unloaded. The fixed, skeletonized thumbhole stock provides a 14.5 inch length of pull. Controls include an ambidextrous two-position safety and a left-side reciprocating charging handle, with a bolt hold-open/catch present.
The 16 inch steel barrel is unthreaded. The receiver top has threaded bosses for an optional rail, and no iron sights are installed. Overall length is approximately 35.4 inches.
Feeding is from 10-round factory HK USC polymer magazines, included here in a pair for a 10+1 capacity when topped off. The package is rounded out by the HK-branded soft carbine case with Velcro organizers, the USC Operator's Manual, and the included tool.
