The Type II configuration adds a heavier slide and factory wood grips to the BDA-380 platform. This example retains the closed-top slide with rear serrations and the ambidextrous, slide-mounted safety/decocker that defines the model.
Production was carried out by Pietro Beretta in Italy for FN/Browning, and the pistol bears the expected markings, including the FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL (FN oval), PB monogram, and MADE IN ITALY legend. This dual-branded lineage is a distinctive hallmark of the BDA-380 series.
The compact aluminum-alloy frame keeps weight down while the polished blue slide provides a classic look. Controls include a reversible push-button magazine release and an external spurred hammer. Sights are fixed, with a blade front and square-notch rear.
Chambered in .380 ACP, it uses a straight blowback, DA/SA action and a 3.8 in barrel. Capacity is 13+1 with the included double-column magazines, each with clear witness marks for easy round count tracking.
