The steel slide wears Beretta's black Bruniton finish and includes a chrome-plated bore and chamber. It is a closed-top design with rear cocking serrations, and it carries a factory "Fires without magazine" slide warning.
The black anodized aluminum-alloy frame keeps weight to about 32 oz unloaded and includes a lanyard ring. Checkered black grip panels with Beretta medallions and an exposed spurred hammer round out the handling features.
Controls include an ambidextrous, slide-mounted safety/decocker and a firing pin block. Fixed 3-dot sights (dovetailed and replaceable) provide a 5.3 in sight radius.
