What’s Included
- Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight 16 gauge pump-action shotgun
The receiver features the Featherlight game-scene roll engraving: an upland scene with a dog and flushing birds on the left, and a waterfowl scene over marsh on the right. The metal is finished in blue over steel, with matching blued steel for the receiver.
The 26 inch plain steel barrel is chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells and is fitted with a fixed Modified choke. A single orange front bead provides a clear sight reference. The barrel is marked PROOF TESTED.
This pump-action design loads and ejects from the bottom, offering a naturally ambidextrous layout. It carries a 4+1 capacity with 2 3/4 inch shells. Controls include a cross-bolt safety and an action bar lock (slide release) located forward and to the left of the trigger guard. The trigger system is period-correct and slam-fire capable with no disconnector.
Walnut furniture includes a straight pistol grip stock with no checkering and a ribbed corncob fore-end. The hard-rubber buttplate is marked "Ithaca Gun Co." Length of pull measures 14.0 inches, providing a traditional field fit.
Manufactured in the United States in 1958, this field-grade Featherlight retains a notable period detail: the barrel extension is serialized to the receiver with a dash suffix, indicative of pre-855k hand-fitted barrels.
