This J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co.-marked 20 gauge single-shot is a pre-1916 A&T era example with a top-tang thumb-lever break-action and exposed hammer. It features a 28 inch plain round barrel with a single brass bead front sight, uncheckered wood furniture, and a hard-rubber buttplate. A non-factory wrap-around wrist/comb is present on the stock. Condition

    Overall Condition: Poor condition.

Bore Condition: Poor - Noticeable dirt, stains, significant corrosion or damage.

Specific Condition Notes: The stock is broken. The firing pin is broken. Significant markings from previous handling and use are present. The shotgun requires significant gunsmithing to return to working order; firing may not be possible and is not recommended in its current condition.

    What’s Included
    • J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. 20 gauge single-shot shotgun

Marked for J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co., this shotgun dates to the A&T era prior to 1916. It uses a top-tang thumb-lever to open the action and an exposed hammer for manual cocking. The receiver shows two side screws, and an extractor is present (ejection not confirmed).

The 28 inch plain round barrel has no rib and is fitted with a single brass bead front sight. The straightforward bead sighting and plain barrel reflect the period-correct, utilitarian configuration.

The wood furniture is uncheckered and includes a semi-pistol-grip stock capped with a hard-rubber buttplate. A long, slim forend with a shield-shaped escutcheon complements the classic lines. The stock has a non-factory wrap-around wrist/comb. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches.

This is a break-action, single-shot 20 gauge with a 1-round capacity. No sling swivels are observed. It was manufactured in the USA.
