Smith & Wesson PPK/S-1 .380 ACP Stainless Compact, 3.3 in Fixed Barrel, DA/SA, Houlton ME Production, 4 Magazines
This Smith & Wesson PPK/S-1 is a U.S.-made, stainless .380 ACP produced in Houlton, Maine under license from Walther during 2002–2009. It features the S&W-unique extended beavertail tang, fixed-barrel blowback design, and no external slide stop lever. Clear factory markings, a bright bore, and four included 7-round magazines add to its appeal for buyers seeking a compact PPK/S variant with documented S&W production details.
The left slide is marked "Under License of Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do. Modell PPK/S Cal. 9mm kurz/.380ACP," while the right slide reads "SMITH & WESSON HOULTON, ME USA." The frame plate is stamped "PPK/S-1." This example pairs a stainless steel slide and frame with checkered black synthetic grips bearing Walther banners.
The 3.3-inch fixed barrel and simple blowback action are complemented by a DA/SA trigger with a slide-mounted safety/decocker and a red fire dot indicator. Controls include a left-side button magazine release, and there is no external slide stop lever by design. The slide carries vertical serrations and an anti-glare rib.
Sights are fixed: a blade front and notch rear, each with red paint inlays. Capacity is 7+1, and this pistol comes with four single-stack magazines, including a mix of Walther factory and Mec-Gar-made examples, some with finger-rest baseplates.
