The 26-inch steel barrel is plain (non-vent-rib) with a single front bead and a fixed Improved Cylinder choke, giving it a straightforward, field-ready sighting setup. The chamber is cut for 2 3/4 in shells, as marked on the barrel.
The receiver and barrel wear a polished blued finish, complemented by factory scroll engraving on the receiver and decorative scrollwork on the bolt. Roll-marks include Remington Model-1100 on the receiver, the Remington Arms Co., Inc., Ilion, N.Y. Made in U.S.A. barrel address, and 12 GA. FOR 2 3/4 IN.
SHELLS with a star preceding 12 GA.
The walnut stock and forearm feature a glossy finish, a pistol grip with impressed fleur-de-lis checkering, and a black grip cap with a white diamond inlay. A black Remington hard buttplate with horizontal serrations completes the stock, with a measured length of pull of 14.0 inches.
This Model 1100 uses a gas-operated, semi-automatic action with right-side ejection and a cross-bolt safety. It feeds from a tubular magazine under the barrel with a 2+1 capacity and uses a fore-end magazine cap. The receiver is steel, while the trigger guard is alloy for durability with reduced weight.
