It operates with a DA/SA short-recoil locking-block system and features an ambidextrous, slide-mounted safety/decocker. The open-top slide with rear serrations provides the signature 92-series layout, and the pistol is designed to fire without the magazine inserted.
Sight alignment is straightforward with fixed 3-dot red sights: an integral front red dot and a dovetailed rear with two red dots. A lanyard loop at the heel is included on the non-railed frame, and black textured polymer grips with Beretta medallions provide a secure hold.
Markings include the PB oval logo and "BERETTA U.S.A. CORP. ACKK, MD – MADE IN USA" on the slide, confirming its Accokeek, Maryland origin. The included steel 15-round magazine has numbered witness holes; brand is not marked. Factory case and owner’s manual are also included.
