This Rock Island Armory M1911 A1-FS GI Standard is a full-size 9mm 1911 with a 5-inch barrel, matte parkerized finish, and classic GI features. It is built on a cast 4140 steel frame with a forged 4140 steel slide and includes fixed GI sights and double-diamond checkered wood grips. The bore is excellent, and the pistol comes with one 9-round magazine and the owner's manual.

The GI Standard configuration delivers a traditional 1911 layout in 9mm Luger with single-action-only operation and a 9+1 capacity. It retains core GI cues such as a short, solid trigger, spur hammer, and fixed sights, along with a left-side magazine release and both thumb and grip safeties.
Construction is robust, featuring a forged 4140 steel slide and a cast 4140 steel frame, both finished in matte parkerized. The frame uses an arched mainspring housing and a smooth front strap, while the slide is cut with rear vertical cocking serrations and no front serrations.
Classical sighting elements include a small rounded fixed front blade and a GI-style fixed rear notch. The pistol wears double-diamond checkered wood grips that complement the GI aesthetic and provide a confident grasp.
Factory markings are present and clear: the slide bears the Rock Island Armory crest; the frame is marked "M1911 A1 - FS"; and the barrel hood is marked "CAL. 9MM." Import and proof stamps include APINTL–PAHRUMP NV and ACP–PHILIPPINES, with manufacture in the Philippines.
