The Model 605 is a compact, five-shot revolver chambered in .357 Magnum with compatibility for .38 Special +P. Its 2-inch barrel and full underlug provide a clean, carry-friendly profile while protecting the ejector rod.
Construction is all alloy steel with a uniform matte black finish across the frame, cylinder, and receiver. The fluted cylinder holds five rounds, and the knurled ejector rod tip is shrouded by the underlug for added protection.
Controls are straightforward: double-action/single-action operation, an exposed, checkered hammer spur, and a left-side checkered cylinder-release latch. A transfer-bar safety is incorporated into the action.
Sighting is fixed and robust, featuring a ramped, serrated front sight integral to the barrel and a fixed top-strap rear groove. The revolver wears a one-piece black rubber grip with Taurus medallions for a secure hold.
Markings include Taurus Int'l Mfg, Bainbridge, GA, and Taurus Armas Made in Brazil. Serial markings are located on the right frame and on the barrel near the frame. The manufacturer part number is 2-605021.
