The Bel Air Special Edition configuration features a polished stainless slide over a Bel Air Blue aluminum-alloy frame, paired with smooth, ivory-colored Micarta grip panels. The slide is marked "MICRO" on the left and "SPECIAL KIMBER EDITION" on the right. The frame is marked "KIMBER, YONKERS, NY USA."
This Micro-1911 pattern, single-action, semi-automatic pistol uses a stainless 2.75 in barrel and a single-column detachable magazine for a 7+1 capacity. Overall length is 5.6 in, and weight is approximately 13.4 oz. The left-side magazine release and checkered mainspring housing support confident handling.
Controls and safeties include an ambidextrous thumb safety, sear disconnect, firing-pin block, and a hammer safety notch. It uses a rowel hammer with a lightening hole and a beavertail-style frame tang, consistent with the Kimber Micro design that omits a grip safety.
The slide has rear cocking serrations only with polished flats, and the sighting system consists of low-profile black steel dovetail sights front and rear. The pistol also receives Kimber’s Carry Melt edge treatment to reduce snag points.
