HK SP5 9mm Pistol - German-Made, 8.86 in Barrel, Tri-lug and 1/2x28 Threads, Roller-Delayed Blowback
German-made in Oberndorf and imported by HK-USA, this SP5 is a semiautomatic MP5-pattern pistol with the classic roller-delayed blowback system. It features the desirable Navy barrel configuration with both tri-lug and 1/2x28 threads, chrome-lined bore and chamber, and a fluted chamber. This example is in excellent condition and includes two German-made 30-round magazines, the HK soft case, and the HK owner's manual.

The SP5 is HK's civilian semiautomatic rendition of the MP5 pattern, built in Oberndorf, Germany and imported by HK-USA in Columbus, GA. Markings include 'HK SP5' and 'Cal. 9mm x 19,' with a CIP N proof. The receiver is stamped sheet steel with correct weld seams, paired with a polymer trigger housing and a slim polymer handguard. It uses right-side ejection and a pistol endcap with sling loop.
The 8.86 in barrel is the Navy configuration with both a tri-lug adapter and 1/2x28 threads, offering broad compatibility with common muzzle devices. The bore and chamber are chrome-lined, and the chamber is fluted. Twist is right-hand with 6 grooves. Capacity is 30+1 with standard HK 9mm magazines.
Sighting is via HK diopter sights: a hooded front post and a 4-position rotary rear drum, with an approximate 13 in sight radius. Controls include a left-side two-position pictogram safety/selector and a paddle-style magazine release. A forward charging handle with cocking notch provides the familiar MP5 manual of arms.
Overall dimensions are approximately 17.8 in in length, 2.48 in in width, and 8.66 in in height. Unloaded weight is about 5.1 lb without a magazine. This configuration reflects the classic MP5 pattern in a full-size pistol format with authentic HK construction and features.
