The Forge H1 22 follows the Government-length 1911 pattern with a traditional barrel bushing and recoil spring plug. It operates single-action only with a straight-blowback system and a fixed barrel, a setup that supports consistent alignment between barrel and sights. Controls include a manual thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety, and a hammer safety notch.
Construction is all-aluminum for both slide and frame, protected by a black Cerakote finish. The slide carries front and rear cocking serrations. The pistol uses a skeletonized three-hole trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. The mainspring housing is flat and vertically serrated, while the front strap is smooth. Standard 1911 grip panels are compatible; this example wears red laminated wood grip panels.
Sighting is via dovetailed 3-dot irons: a front blade with a single dot and a rear notch with two dots. The rear is windage adjustable via a set screw. An integral five-slot Picatinny rail on the dustcover provides space for rail-mounted accessories. Capacity is 12+1, and weight is approximately 31.1 oz without the magazine.
Markings and origin details include CIP nitro proofs, a DE24 German proof/date code indicating 2024, a Hammerli Arms Ft. Smith, AR import mark, and "Made in Germany by Umarex." The combination of a fixed-barrel .22 LR system in a full-size 1911 layout, aluminum construction, and practical features make this a recent-release Hammerli offering with modern touches in a familiar platform.
