This LAR-15 Operator is built on the AR-15 platform and uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement action. The forged aluminum receiver set provides a solid foundation, and the rifle is made in the USA. An A4 flat-top upper with a full-length Picatinny rail includes a forward assist, case deflector, and ejection-port cover.
The 16-inch chrome-moly steel barrel features a 1:9 twist and a threaded muzzle fitted with a ported muzzle brake with a crenelated face. Sighting is handled by iron sights: a folding front sight integrated with a gas block that is pinned to the barrel, paired with a detachable A2-style aperture rear sight.
A free-float aluminum quad-rail handguard with venting and rail covers offers multiple mounting surfaces while maintaining barrel isolation. Ergonomics include an overmolded rubber pistol grip with finger grooves and a 6-position collapsible stock with an approximate length of pull from 11 to 14.5 inches.
The rifle uses STANAG-compatible magazines and has a 30+1 capacity in 5.56mm NATO. Controls include a manual safety. The package includes two 30-round and one 20-round aluminum magazines, along with the Rock River Arms factory hard case and the original owner's and safety manual.
