The VP9 is a striker-fired, full-size 9mm with a 4.09-inch barrel and 17+1 capacity. The short-recoil, Browning-type tilting barrel is cold hammer forged with polygonal rifling and a 1:9.8 RH twist, emphasizing durability and consistency. The slide features front and rear serrations and rear charging supports for confident manipulation.
Ergonomics and controls are a hallmark of this model. The ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release and ambidextrous slide stop levers accommodate a wide range of users and carry methods. The polymer frame includes interchangeable backstraps and side panels to fine-tune fit, along with an accessory rail for mounting lights or other compatible add-ons.
Sight picture is clear and fast with three-dot luminous contrast sights (non-tritium). The front sight carries a green dot, paired with two green dots at the rear, and the rear is windage-adjustable to dial-in point of impact.
