The XD(M)-9 3.8 Full-Size is a striker-fired, 9mm Luger pistol configured with a 3.8 inch barrel and full-size frame. This 3.8 inch variant uses a captive recoil spring assembly, and the full-size grip accepts 19-round magazines for a 19+1 capacity.
The barrel is match-grade, hammer-forged, and Melonite finished, with the barrel hood marked "MATCH 9x19" to denote its specification. The slide carries a durable Melonite finish in black.
A compact open-reflex red-dot is installed in the rear-sight dovetail. The factory front sight is a green fiber-optic, and the slide includes a top-mounted loaded-chamber indicator and a striker-status indicator. This example is identified as a non-OSP model fitted with an aftermarket, dovetail-mounted optic.
Controls and safety features include an ambidextrous magazine release, a grip safety, a trigger safety, and an internal striker block.
