Produced during 1943–1944 by Quality Hardware & Machine Corp, this carbine represents a correct WWII-era example with authentic receiver markings. The parkerized steel receiver and barrel present the classic wartime finish, and the rifle retains the standard M1 Carbine pattern with detachable box magazine.
The early, spring-retained narrow barrel band is marked "MMQ" and does not have a bayonet lug. A later adjustable rear sight is fitted, a typical service-updated combination. The upper handguard is the earlier two-rivet style with ventilation holes, aligning with GI furniture from the period.
The hardwood stock is oil-finished with a straight profile, an oval sling/oiler cut, and a checkered steel buttplate. Iron sights consist of a fixed blade front with protective ears and an adjustable aperture rear with a windage knob and elevation slide. Length of pull measures 13.1 inches.
Mechanically, it follows the standard M1 Carbine system: semi-automatic operation with a short-stroke gas piston and rotating bolt in .30 Carbine. Capacity is 15+1. Barrel length is listed as 18" inches.
Non-GI clamp-on barrel accessory brackets are installed. The rifle comes with a GI-pattern 15-round magazine and an olive-drab web sling, ready for display or range use consistent with its configuration.
