The Model 22-4 Classic follows the 1917 layout with an N-frame, fluted six-shot cylinder, a 5.5 inch tapered barrel, and an unshrouded ejector rod. Fixed sights consist of a half-moon front blade and a square-notch rear milled into the topstrap, matching the period-correct configuration.
Built from carbon steel and finished in blued, this revolver uses a double-action/single-action system. The frame, barrel, and cylinder are all blued carbon steel, and the butt carries a lanyard ring. Checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions and a diamond around the screw provide a classic look and feel.
Chambered in .45 ACP, the revolver is designed for use with full- or half-moon clips and also accepts .45 Auto Rim. Capacity is six rounds, consistent with the N-frame service format.
It includes a factory S&W hard case, the modern S&W revolver manual, full-moon clips for immediate use with .45 ACP, and keys for the internal lock.
