The pistol retains the Shield 1.0 profile with a 3.1-inch barrel and 6.1-inch overall length, and it is capable of firing with the magazine removed.

The Shield 1.0 configuration offers a slim, micro-size profile with a single-stack 9mm magazine, pairing concealability with S&W’s striker-fired, locked-breech action. This example retains the original first-generation setup, including a 3.1-inch barrel and a 6.1-inch overall length.
Construction details include a stainless-steel slide and barrel with a black Melonite finish over a durable polymer frame. The slide features rear-only, fish-scale serrations and an external extractor for reliable operation and easy manipulation.
Sighting is straightforward with iron sights consisting of a white-dot front and a low-profile notch rear. The two-piece hinged trigger incorporates a hinged trigger safety, and the pistol is capable of firing with the magazine removed (no magazine disconnect). Country of origin is the United States.
