This limited edition marks GSG's 15th anniversary, with production capped at 1,500 pistols and this example numbered 1417 of 1500. The commemorative touches include checkered wood grips with the GSG 15 crest, a uniform matte grey finish on slide and frame, and gold-tone accent parts.
It is a full-size, Government-pattern rimfire built on the 1911 platform and optimized for .22 LR high-velocity ammunition. The pistol uses a blowback-operated system and retains familiar 1911 controls in single-action only, including an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with memory pad. The skeletonized hammer and three-hole trigger provide the classic enhanced 1911 look and feel.
The 5-inch barrel, rear-only slide serrations, and adjustable 3-dot green sighting system (adjustable rear with two green dots and a replaceable-height front green-dot blade) support precise rimfire shooting. Capacity is 10+1 with the included magazines.
Markings include DE CIP N proofs with date code CF, "MADE IN GERMANY," and American Tactical, Summerville SC import information. Field-stripping on this model uses an additional small screw/pin compared to centerfire 1911s; the sale includes a sealed NicTaylor/Taylor Tactical 2.0mm hex wrench and spare small parts and recoil spring tailored for the GSG/Sig/Mauser 1911-22 pattern.
