The Mark 23 configuration here is the commercial "MARK 23" roll-mark variant. It bears German eagle/N nitro proofs and the Ulm antler proof, along with HK’s "KI" date code. The HK Inc. Sterling, VA importer marking is present and located under the dustcover. The pistol features a maritime-type corrosion-resistant finish noted by the submitter.
The 6-inch steel barrel is threaded M16x1 RH and includes a thread protector. HK’s polygonal rifling and O-ring barrel lock-up support tight barrel-to-slide fit. The sight radius measures 7.76 inches, and the suppressor-height 3-dot system pairs a fixed white-dot front with a rear white-dot sight adjustable for windage and elevation.
This full-size .45 ACP uses a recoil-operated DA/SA system with an external spurred hammer. Controls include an ambidextrous safety with decocker, an ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release, and an extended slide stop for positive manipulation.
The black polymer frame incorporates HK’s proprietary universal mounting grooves on the dustcover. Capacity is 12+1, and two factory steel double-stack magazines are included.
