This Para Ordnance 1911 Expert is a U.S.-made, Charlotte, North Carolina–marked full-size .45 ACP with a Government-length 5 inch match-grade barrel and a clean, modern feature set. It pairs a matte black stainless-steel slide with a carbon-steel frame and uses a fiber-optic front sight with a low-mount Novak-style rear. Part of Para’s final U.S. production run before the brand was discontinued in 2015, it includes two 8-round magazines and the original factory case with accessories.
The Expert model follows classic 1911 lines with a non-railed dust cover, GI-style short recoil plug, and standard barrel bushing. The ejection port is lowered and flared, and the extractor is internal. Controls include a thumb safety and grip safety, a skeletonized commander-style hammer, and a skeletonized three-hole trigger with an overtravel screw. Slide markings read "Para 1911" and "Expert."
Construction details highlight a matte black finish over a stainless-steel slide and carbon-steel frame. The frame features a flat mainspring housing and a smooth front strap. The pistol feeds from single-stack 8-round magazines for a total capacity of 8+1. Grips are black checkered synthetic panels with Para "P" medallions.
Sight picture is quick and clear thanks to a dovetailed green fiber-optic front blade paired with a fixed, low-mount Novak-style square-notch rear. The match-grade barrel and tuned 1911 geometry provide a refined shooting foundation without straying from traditional Government-model handling.
