Condition
Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Overall Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.
Specific Condition Notes: There are visible scratches and blemishes on the exterior surfaces. The pump action/fore-end is scratched along both sides. When the semi-automatic function is used, there is an inconsistent chance of hammer follow; when the bolt is dropped in semi-auto, the hammer may fall as the bolt fully closes, which can result in a slam fire. We strongly recommend consulting a gunsmith who specializes in SPAS-12 repair and maintenance.
What’s Included
- Franchi SPAS-12 owner's manual
- OEM magazine tube cap
- Knurled threaded muzzle accessory (not installed)
The SPAS-12’s dual-mode system allows conversion between gas-operated semi-automatic and manual pump operation via the selector/cutoff on top of the handguard. This configuration pairs a steel receiver and extended under-barrel magazine tube (8+1 stated capacity) with sling attachment points, giving it the distinctive layout associated with this series.
The 21.5-inch steel barrel is externally threaded and fitted with a knurled collar. A separate knurled threaded muzzle accessory is included. The ribbed polymer pump fore-end and ventilated polymer heat-shield/handguard with elongated slots are designed for control and heat management.
Sighting is handled by a flip-up rear unit and a tall, wing-protected front post. Controls include the late-pattern cross-bolt safety with a red ring. The fixed polymer stock with integral pistol grip provides a 13.0-inch length of pull. The matte parkerized finish completes the period-correct exterior.
Proofed in Italy with Gardone stamps and a boxed 'BC' date code confirming 1993 manufacture, this shotgun carries American Arms Inc., K.C. MO import marks. It represents a 1990s-era example of the SPAS-12 series with the American Arms import configuration and features.
