The MkGs receiver pattern is designed for Glock small-frame double-stack magazines, and this pistol ships with a 31-round magazine for a 31+1 total capacity. The operating system is CMMG's Radial Delayed Blowback, purpose-built for pistol-caliber ARs and central to the Banshee series.
The upper is a slick-side design that omits a forward assist while retaining a case deflector and an ejection-port dust cover. Controls include an ambidextrous safety and an ambidextrous charging handle with extended latches for confident manipulation from either side.
The 5-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with a compact multi-port, linear-style muzzle device. Up front, a free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard provides accessory mounting flexibility, and a full-length 1913 top rail runs from receiver to handguard for continuous mounting space.
The receiver extension is marked FASTBACK with U.S. Patent No. 10,551,144. The pistol wears a uniform matte black finish and is made in the USA. It includes a CMMG-marked textured polymer pistol grip that complements the compact AR-9 layout.
