The M24/47 is a Yugoslav refurbishment of the Mauser 98 platform, built on a forged steel receiver with a straight bolt handle and controlled-round feed. This rifle is marked M24/47 on the receiver and carries the Yugoslav crest on the receiver ring, reflecting its national service lineage.
Barrel and receiver are forged steel, with a 23.25 inch barrel paired to a 5-round internal box magazine and a stripper-clip guide for quick loading. A standard 98-type bayonet lug is fitted, and this rifle comes with a matching Yugoslav bayonet and scabbard as listed.
Sighting equipment includes a hooded front post and a tangent ladder rear sight, set into a full-length hardwood stock with sling swivels and a steel buttplate. A Mauser-pattern cleaning rod is installed.
Factory and import markings are extensive: the receiver shows the Preduzece 44 identification and Yugoslav crest, while the stock, receiver, and trigger guard display Cyrillic inspection or assembly marks. Import markings include C.A.I. GEORGIA VT and M24/47 YUGO 8MM. The bolt is non-matching to the receiver.
